Your website. Your numbers.
Tarsier measures visits, not people. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to show you what is happening on your site, and nothing that could follow someone around the internet.
What we collect
- 01
The page visited
Which URL was viewed. That is rather the point of website analytics.
- 02
Where they came from
The referrer and any campaign tags on your own links, so you know which efforts worked.
- 03
Country, city, and region
Derived at the network edge — coarse enough to plan with, useless for following anyone. Never a precise location, never stored alongside anything identifying.
- 04
Browser and device type
Chrome on a phone, Safari on a desktop — categories, not fingerprints.
- 05
Events you define
Signups, purchases, button clicks — only the actions you explicitly choose to track.
What we never collect
- Cookies of any kind, for any reason
- Fingerprinting, probabilistic or otherwise
- Names, email addresses, or account data
- Stored IP addresses
- Cross-site tracking of any description
The only cookie in the entire system is the login session for your own dashboard — and your visitors never see that. No tracking cookie means most sites need no analytics cookie banner for Tarsier, though regulated industries should still check with their own legal advice.
Who sees it, and for how long
Your analytics are visible only to your account. They are never sold, rented, or fed to advertisers — there is no advertising business here to feed. Traffic history is kept across a 90-day lookback, then it ages out.
